Workshops...
Family Educators provide educational workshops
within your community for parents to attend. Some of these workshops
include:
- CPR – provided by the
American
Heart Association. Parents are notified through the Bright
Futures classroom. The class is free, and space is limited.
- Discipline – a much sought after topic!
Peoria’s Children facilitates a wonderful program with a lot
of Q & A’s from the parents on discipline techniques.

The
Happiest Toddler on the Block by Dr. Harvey Karp – this
workshop gives helpful tips to deal with discipline and
tantrums.
- Stress Management – a workshop with ideas
on how to cope with stress! Presented by a registered nurse,
you’ll learn calming techniques to let go of that everyday
stress.
- Parents in Projects – a workshop that
takes an in depth look at doing projects with your children at
