The Family Educator is available at orientations and classroom functions to answer any questions.
Social Emotional
Assessments (Ages & Stages SE) are completed by parents and scored
by the Family Educator. Based on these scores, social emotional
information and
Family Literacy Checklist and Goals are completed by parents at the beginning of the year, and then again at the end of the year. The Family Educators intent is to help parents learn about goal setting and how to achieve those goals, therefore promoting literacy growth within their home. Strengthening Families is a cost effective strategy to prevent child abuse and neglect. All Bright Futures staff has adopted the Strengthening Families approach and will implement activities that will build Five Protective Factors in families.
